Minor league report: Penguins fall to Senators in overtime

Goaltender Joel Blomqvist made 16 saves on 19 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Belleville Senators at Mohegan Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

The result dropped Blomqvist’s record to 6-3-3.

Forwards Atley Calvert and Rafael Harvey-Pinard each scored goals for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (26-11-2-2).

Senators forward Lassi Thompson scored the winning goal at 1:34 of the overtime period.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the rival Hershey Bears on Friday ,7 p.m.
