Minor league report: Penguins fall to Wolf Pack in shootout

Goaltender Louis Domingue made 35 saves on 37 shots in regulation and overtime for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins who lost to the Hartford Wolf Pack, 3-2, in a shootout at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn. on Friday.

Forward Jordy Bellerive recorded two assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (4-1-0-1) which had a three-game winning streak snapped while forwards Sam Houde and Sam Poulin each scored thier first goals of the season in regulation.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Springfield Thunderbirds on Saturday, 7:05 p.m.

Goaltender Tommy Nappier made 18 saves on 20 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 3-0 road loss to the Kansas City Mavericks at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Mo.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ (1-2-0-0) next game is a road contest against the Wichita Thunder on Saturday, 8:05 p.m.
