Minor league report: Penguins, goaltender Dustin Tokarski snap losing streak

Goaltender Dustin Tokarski made 26 saves and led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 4-0 shutout of the Hershey Bears at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.

Forwards Drake Caggiula, Jonathan Gruden, Filip Hallander and Valtteri Puustinen all scored goals and defenseman Xavier Ouellet recorded two assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (7-4-1-0), which snapped a four-game losing streak.

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Bridgeport Islanders on Saturday, 7 p.m.

Goaltender Ryan Bednard made 30 saves on 31 shots and led the Wheeling Nailers to a 2-1 road win against the Toledo Walleye at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.

Defenseman Chris Ortiz and forward Sean Josling each scored goals for Wheeling (5-6-0-0).

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Indy Fuel on Sunday, 5 p.m.
