Minor league report: Penguins lose again

Goaltender Dustin Tokarski made 22 saves on 26 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 5-1 home loss to the Hartford Wolf Pack at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

Forward Jonathan Gruden scored the only goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (25-27-6-5) which has lost six of its past eight games.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Providence Bruins on Wednesday, 7:05 p.m.

Forward Peter Laviolette scored two goals for the Wheeling Nailers in a 5-3 home loss to the Reading Royals at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wheeling, W.Va.

Goaltender Tommy Nappier made 24 saves on 28 shots for Wheeling while forward Jarrett Lee contributed a goal and an assist.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Indy Fuel on Friday, 7 p.m.
