Minor league report: Penguins lose to Bears in overtime
Goaltender Joel Blomqvist made 28 saves on 31 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 3-2 overtime loss to the rival Hershey Bears at the Giant Center in Hershey on Saturday.
The result dropped Blomqvist’s record to 5-4-1.
Forwards Avery Hayes and Ville Koivunen each scored goals for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (17-8-2-0), which had a three-game winning streak halted.
The winning goal by forward Ethen Frank came at 1:15 of overtime.

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Charlotte Checkers on Friday, 7:05 p.m.
A pair of goals by forward Kyle Jackson led the Wheeling Nailers to a 6-2 win against the Iowa Heartlanders at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va.
Forward Atley Calvert had a goal and two assists for Wheeling (20-5-1-0) while forward Jack Beck contributed three assists.
Goaltender Taylor Gauthier boosted his record to 4-2-0 by making 28 saves on 30 shots.
