Minor league report: Penguins’ losing streak reaches 3

Goaltender Dustin Tokarski made 20 saves on 22 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 3-1 home loss to the Hartford Wolf Pack at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Friday.

Forward Drew O’Connor scored the lone goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (6-3-1-0), which has lost three consecutive games.

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Springfield Thunderbirds on Saturday, 6:05 p.m.

Two goals by forward Cedric Pare led the Wheeling Nailers to a 5-1 home win against the Kalamazoo Wings at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling.

Forwards Justin Addamo and Brooklyn Kalmikov each contributed a goal and an assist to Wheeling (4-4-0-0) while forwards Carter Johnson and Felix Pare as well as defenseman Josh Maniscalco each recorded two assists. Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 27 saves on 28 shots in the victory.

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday, 7:10 p.m.
