Minor league report: Penguins snap eight-game losing streak

Defenseman Taylor Fedun and forward Felix Robert each had a goal and an assist for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 5-2 road win against the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms at the PPL Center in Allentown on Saturday.

Defenseman Matt Bartkowski recorded two assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (10-15-1-3), which snapped an eight-game losing streak. Goaltender Tommy Nappier made 20 saves on 22 shots in the victory.

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Hershey Bears on Sunday, 3:05 p.m.

A hat trick by forward Jared Cockrell led the Wheeling Nailers to a 4-1 road win against the Orlando Solar Bears at Amway Center in Orlando, Fla.

Goaltender Stefanos Lekkas made 24 saves on 25 shots for Wheeling (16-14-1-0), which snapped a five-game losing streak.

The Nailers next game is a road contest against the Solar Bears on Sunday, 3 p.m.
