Minor league report: Penguins snap losing streak
In his American Hockey League debut, goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 29 saves on 30 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 4-1 road win against the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms at the PPL Center in Allentown on Saturday.
Forward Filip Hallander recorded two assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (14-9-2-3) which snapped a five-game losing streak. The Penguins’ goals were scored by forwards Corey Andonovski, Drake Caggiula, Sam Houde and Valtteri Puustinen.

Two goals by forward Justin Addamo led the Wheeling Nailers to a 6-5 home win against the Reading Royals at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling.
Forward Cédric Desruisseaux and defenseman Adam Smith each had a goal and an assist for Wheeling (14-14-1-0) while defenseman Chris Ortiz contributed three assists. Goaltender Bailey Brkin made 17 saves on 19 shots to record the victory.
