Goaltender Filip Larsson made 25 saves on 29 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 5-1 loss to the Syracuse Crunch at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

The result dropped Larsson’s record to 10-6-3.

Forward Matthias Laferriere scored the lone goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (31-16-7-1).

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the rival Hershey Bears on Wednesday, 7:05 p.m.


Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 35 saves on 36 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 2-0 loss to the Adirondack Thunder at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls, N.Y.

Gauthier’s record tumbled to 10-8-2 with the result.

Wheeling (33-19-3-1) was shut out for the fourth time this season.
