Minor league report: Penguins tame Wolf Pack

A goal and two assists by forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 4-1 win against the Hartford Wolf Pack at Mohegan Arena on Saturday.

Defenseman Finn Harding scored his first professional goal and had an assist for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (25-11-1-2) while forwards Tristan Broz and Gabe Klassen each contributed a goal.

Goaltender Joel Blomqvist made 26 saves on 27 shots and improved his record to 6-3-2.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Springfield Thunderbirds on Monday, 3:05 p.m.


Goaltender Maxim Pavlenko made 22 saves on 28 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 6-3 loss to the Norfolk Admirals at the Norfolk (Va.) Scope.

The result dropped Pavlenko’s record to 10-7-0.

Forward Craig Armstrong recorded two assists for Wheeling (25-9-1-0) while forwards Randy Hernandez and Connor Lockhard, along with defenseman Bogdans Hodass, all contributed a goal.

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Reading Royals on Friday, 7:10 p.m.
