Minor league report: Penguins top Phantoms in preseason finale

Forwards Emil Bemstrom and Tristan Broz each had a goal and an assist for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton which won its preseason finale by defeating the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms, 5-1, at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

Goaltender Filip Larsson made 27 saves on 28 shots in the victory while forward Avery Hayes recorded three assists.

Highlights:

The Penguins finished the preseason with a 3-0-1-0 record. They are scheduled to open the regular season with a home contest against the Charlotte Checkers on Saturday, 6:05 p.m.
