Goaltender Tristan Jarry stopped 31 shots as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins shut out the Bridgeport Islanders, 3-0, at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
It was Jarry’s first shutout of the season at either the NHL or American Hockey League levels and boosted his AHL record to 6-3-0.
Forward Boris Katchouk had a goal and an assist for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (25-11-4-0) while linemate Ville Koivunen recorded two assists.
Also contributing goals were forwards Sam Poulin and Tristan Broz, who returned to the lineup for the first time since Dec. 28 due to a bout with mononucleosis that sidelined him for 12 games according to Inside AHL Hockey.

A pair of goals and an assist by forward Matty De St. Phalle led the Wheeling Nailers to a 6-3 win against the Indy Fuel at the Fishers Event Center in Fishers, Ind.
Forwards Kyle Jackson and Gabe Klassen each had a goal and an assist for Wheeling (29-12-2-0) while defenseman Chris Ortiz contributed two assists.
Goaltender Taylor Gauthier’s record improved to 10-6-0 after he made 16 saves on 19 shots.
