Minor league report: Penguins win 4th consecutive game

A hat trick by forward Austin Rueschhoff led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 6-3 road win against the Bridgeport Islanders at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Conn. on Saturday.

Defenseman Ty Smith recorded four assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (35-22-8-1), which extended a winning streak to four games while forward Vinnie Hinostroza contributed a goal and an assist.

Goaltender Ludovic Waeber made 17 saves on 20 shots to improve his record to 7-7-0.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Sunday, 3:05 p.m.
