Minor league report: Sam Poulin, Radim Zohorna return as Penguins beat Checkers
Two goals by forward Vinnie Hinostroza led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 4-1 home win against the Charlotte Checkers at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
Forward Sam Poulin recorded three assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (28-18-7-1) while linemate Radim Zohorna contributed a goal and an assist.
Poulin (seven games) and Zohorna (two games) each returned to the lineup after being sidelined for several contests due to undisclosed injuries.
Goaltender Joel Blomqvist made 21 saves on 22 shots to improve his record to 17-8-5.

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Checkers on Saturday, 6:05 p.m.
Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 22 saves on 24 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 2-1 road loss to the Cincinnati Cyclones at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati.
The result dropped Gauthier’s record to 20-15-1 while forward Jarrett Lee scored the lone goal for Wheeling (30-21-1-1).
