Minor league report: Sergei Murashov remains undefeated with Penguins
Goaltender Sergei Murashov made 31 saves on 35 shots in regulation and overtime for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 5-4 shootout win against the rival Hershey Bears at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.
Denying all five attempts he faced in the shootout, Murashov remained undefeated in the American Hockey League this season, improving his record to 8-0-0.
Forwards Ville Koivunen and Rutger McGroarty each had a regulation goal and an assist for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (32-16-7-1) while forward Valtteri Puustinen contributed two assists.
The lone goal in the shootout was scored by forward Sam Poulin.

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Friday, 7:05 p.m.
Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 22 saves on 23 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 2-0 loss to the Trois-Rivières Lions at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va.
The result dropped Gauthier’s record to 10-9-1.
Wheeling (33-20-3-1) has been shut out in three of their past four games and five times overall this season.
