Minor league report: Tristan Jarry, Penguins beat Islanders in shootout

Goaltender Tristan Jarry made 27 saves on 30 shots in regulation and overtime then stopped two of three shots in a shootout for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 4-3 win against the Bridgeport Islanders at the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Conn. on Wednesday.

Currently assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for conditioning purposes, Jarry improved his American Hockey League record this season to 2-0-0.

Forwards Emil Bemstrom and Ville Koivunen scored in the shootout for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (5-2-0-0) while forward Jonathan Gruden contributed two regulation goals.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Hartford Wolfpack on Saturday, 6:05 p.m.
