Mt. Lebanon native Neal Shipley ties for 7th at Price Cutter Charity Championship
Neal Shipley’s bid for a third Korn Ferry Tour victory and “battlefield promotion” and his PGA Tour card will have to wait.
The Central Catholic grad and Mt. Lebanon could not overcome the hot temperatures and equally hot Chandler Blanchet on Sunday and ended up tied for seventh at the Price Cutter Charity Championship at scorching Springfield, Mo., where temperatures reached the 100s.
Blanchet finished 27-under par and clinched the win by shooting a 4-under par 68 during the final round.
Shipley shot a 1-over 73 during the final round to finish 18-under. He had five birdies, four bogeys and one double bogey.
