NCAA sets practice times Thursday at PPG Paints Arena for 8 tournament teams

The eight teams competing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament will begin arriving in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, and fans will be able to get a close look Thursday.

Practices are open to the public for 40 minutes each at no cost at PPG Paints Arena.

The schedule is as follows:

Loyola Chicago — 11-11:40 a.m.

Delaware — 11:45 a.m.-12:25 p.m.

Ohio State — 12:30-1:10 p.m.

Villanova — 1:15-1:55 p.m.

Illinois — 3:25-4:05 p.m.

Houston — 4:10-4:50 p.m.

Chattanooga — 4:55-5:35 p.m.

UAB — 5:40-6:20 p.m.

The first of four games begins at 12:15 p.m. Friday with Loyola Chicago vs. Ohio State, followed by Delaware vs. Villanova 30 minutes after the end of the first game. Chattanooga vs. Illinois will begin at 6:50 p.m., with UAB vs. Houston 30 minutes after the end of that game.

The four winners will play two games Sunday, with start times to be determined.
