From Penn-Trafford to Penn, Emma Nedley has not missed a beat.
After just weekend of college softball, the freshman center fielder is off to a fast start, and with it, has collected some early-season accolades.
Nedley was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week after going 8 for 17 at the plate with a home run and three RBIs over a five-game stretch in Clearwater, Fla. for the Quakers (2-3).
She has 14 total bases.
Nedley, who was recruited by Penn while playing in a travel tournament in Colorado, went 2 for 3 in her college debut, and 3 for 4 with a run in her second game, of which she was a homer shy of hitting for the cycle.
Her first college homer came Sunday against Troy, a three-run blast in an 8-3 loss.
