New York Giants choose PSU linebacker Cameron Brown in 6th round
Linebacker Cameron Brown, who became a productive playmaker during his final two seasons at Penn State, was drafted in the sixth round Saturday by the New York Giants (No. 183 overall).
Brown will reunite with former Penn State defensive line coach Sean Spencer, who was hired by the Giants this year to fill the same role.
Last season, he started all 13 games, with 72 tackles (5 1/2 for a loss), two sacks, and four pass breakups. He was named third-team All-Big Ten.
Brown (6-foot-5, 233 pounds) assembled an impressive stat line during the 2018 season when he started 12 games and led the Nittany Lions with three forced fumbles. He also recorded 63 tackles (6 1/2 for a loss), two sacks and six pass breakups.
