Penguins defenseman Kris Letang battles for position with Philadelphia Flyers forward Claude Giroux during a game at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center on Jan. 15.

On Tuesday, the NHL announced 24 changes to its overall schedule. One involves the Penguins.

Per the league’s release, a home contest against the Philadelphia Flyers, originally scheduled for April 13, is now scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6.

That alteration will create a three-game series against the Flyers with the first two games, each at PPG Paints Arena, being scheduled for March 2 and March 4.

Those three games will be followed by two home games against the New York Rangers on March 7 and 9.

Follow the Penguins all season long.
