On Monday, the NHL announced the formal order of the upcoming draft this weekend.

In total, the Penguins are slated to have 10 picks.

Their selections by round and overall number:

First round — No. 11 overall

Second round — No. 59 overall (from the Washington Capitals)

Third round — No. 73 overall

Third round — No. 84 overall (from the Minnesota Wild via the Philadelphia Flyers and Nashville Predators)

Third round — No. 85 overall (from the Ottawa Senators via the St. Louis Blues)

Fourth round — No. 105 overall

Fifth round — No. 130 overall (from the Chicago Blackhawks via Toronto Maple Leafs and Capitals)

Fifth round — No. 148 overall (from the Wild via the New York Rangers)

Sixth round — No. 169 overall

Seventh round — No. 201 overall

• The Penguins could also obtain the 12th overall selection in the first round. As a condition of a trade between the Penguins and Vancouver Canucks on Jan. 31, the Penguins acquired a conditional draft pick that originally belonged to the Rangers.

Per a condition in a separate trade between the Rangers and Canucks, the Rangers can opt to send this selection or their first-round selection in the 2026 NHL Draft to the Penguins. The Rangers must make a determination on which pick to send to the Penguins by Wednesday.

• Five of the selections the Penguins currently have were obtained via trades.

The No. 59 overall pick came March 7 as part of a deal that sent forward Anthony Beauvillier to the Capitals.

The No. 84 overall pick came Aug. 13, 2024 along with forward Cody Glass and a sixth-round draft pick in 2026 in a deal that sent forward Jordan Frasca to the Predators.

The No. 85 overall pick came Aug. 13, 2024 along with a second-round pick in 2026 in a deal that sent the No. 51 overall pick (second round) and a fifth-round pick in 2026 to the Blues.

The No. 130 overall pick and a third-round pick in 2027 came Nov. 12, 2024 in a trade that sent forward Lars Eller to the Capitals.

The No. 148 overall pick and a second-round draft pick in 2027 came July 1, 2024 in a trade that sent forward Reilly Smith to the Rangers.

• Two selections that originally belonged to the Penguins are elsewhere because of trades.

The No. 41 overall selection in the second round was sent to the Montreal Canadiens along with goaltender Casey DeSmith, forward Nathan Legare and defenseman Jeff Petry in a trade that brought forwards Mike Hoffman and Rem Pitlick to the Penguins on Aug. 6, 2023. Hoffman was subsequently sent to the San Jose Sharks as part of a three-way trade that brought forward Dillon Hamaliuk, defenseman Erik Karlsson and a third-round pick in 2026 to the Penguins.

The No. 137 overall selection in the fifth round was sent to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for forward Connor Dewar and defenseman Conor Timmins.
