Outside linebacker Nick Herbig and defensive lineman Keeanu Benton progressed in their practice participation Thursday, but veteran defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi was a new addition to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ official injury report.

Herbig was listed as a limited participant on the league-mandated status report a day after he sat out practice in the wake of suffering an ankle injury during Sunday’s Steelers loss in Indianapolis. Benton also emerged from that game with a minor ankle ailment. He was deemed a limited practice participant Wednesday but went full Thursday.

Ogunjobi was listed for the first time this week Thursday, regarded as limited because of a groin injury.

Herbig is in line to make his second consecutive start because Alex Highsmith remains out because of a groin injury. Also presumed out for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys after again not practicing Thursday are running backs Jaylen Warren (knee) and Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) and tight end MyCole Pruitt.

Jeremiah Moon could be in line to be the top backup at outside linebacker while making his Steelers debut Sunday. Moon, a former Baltimore Ravens player, has practiced fully for two straight days after being cleared to do so off of injured reserve.

Starting left guard Isaac Seumalo (pectoral) continues to practice fully this week, and barring something unforeseen, will make his season debut against Dallas.

On the official status report, things remained status quo — limited participant — for the No. 1 quarterback on the depth chart, Russell Wilson.
