Three-year assistant coach Bobby Over was promoted to head coach of the Seton Hill track & field and cross country programs.

“From day one, Seton Hill has felt like home to me,” Over said. “I am very excited to be able to continue to work with the athletes that make this team a family.”

In Over’s first year as an assistant, the women’s cross country team made the NCAA Division II nationals for the first time and placed third in the Atlantic Region.

The men’s and women’s programs in both sports have produced numerous school record holders and conference and national qualifiers with Over on staff.

Over also coached two years at John Carroll, where he was a recruiting coordinator. He was the meet director for the Ohio Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships in 2014.

A former distance runner, he was a three-time cross country and track All-American at Allegheny, where he was selected to the Gators’ All-Decade Team in cross country and indoor track. He was the Mideast Cross Country Regional Runner of the Year three times and NCAC Cross Country Runner of the Year twice.
