Penn State offensive lineman Rasheed Walker looks on during the first half of an NCAA college football game, Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, in College Park, Md.

Considering his size, strength, footspeed and experience in a Power 5 program, it was only a matter of time until Penn State offensive left tackle Rasheed Walker was drafted.

Walker, 6-foot-6, 325 pounds, was finally chosen by the Green Bay Packers on Saturday in the seventh round (249th overall).

At Penn State, Walker made 32 starts in the past three seasons — all at the crucial left tackle position — before missing the final three games of 2021 with a knee injury. He also was a team captain.

In 2020 and ’21, he was named third-team All-Big Ten by the media, honorable mention in ’20 by the conference coaches.
