“I was shocked. I only found out two days ago,” his mother Angie told ESPN. She said she knew he was working on completing his degrees, but didn’t know he was close to finishing.
After receiving his diploma, Edelman hyped up his fellow graduates running around the stadium and throwing high-fives to classmates.

It took Edelman a few years longer that most graduates — he arrived at Kent State in 2006, where he was the starting quarterback for the Golden Flashes for three years. He left college in 2009 when he was drafted by the Patriots.
On Thursday the Super Bowl LIII MVP shared on Twitter, “This Saturday, I will be walking with my fellow Kent State graduates. Completing what I started back in 06.”
He continued, ”I want to set a great example for my daughter, and complete a promise I made to my parents over 10 years ago. To my fellow Golden Flash graduates, Congratulations! #LetsGo
