The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired forward Connor Dewar and defenseman Conor Timmins from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a fifth-round draft pick in 2025.
Dewar, 25, has appeared in 31 NHL games this season and has recorded three assists while averaging 9:58 of ice time per contest.

He has also skated in one American Hockey League contest this season with the Toronto Marlies and posted two points (one goal, one assist).
A left-handed shot, Dewar (5-foot-10, 192 pounds) is signed to a one-year contract with a salary cap hit of $1.8 million. He is scheduled to become a restricted free agent on July 1.
In addition to the Maple Leafs, Dewar has been a member of the Minnesota Wild over his six NHL seasons. He was a third-round draft pick (No. 92 overall) of the Wild in 2018.
Timmins, 25, has appeared in 51 games this season and scored eight points (two goals, six assists) while averaging 16:19 of ice time per contest.

A right-handed shot, Timmins is in the second year of a two-year contract with a salary cap hit of $1.1 million. He is a pending restricted free agent this upcoming offseason.
Over six seasons in the NHL, Timmins (6-foot-3, 213 pounds) has also skated for the Arizona Coyotes and the Colorado Avalanche.
In 2017, he was a second-round draft pick (No. 32 overall) of the Avalanche.
At the junior level, Timmins spent three seasons with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League. Penguins president of hockey operations Kyle Dubas previously served as that team’s general manager.
