Penguins activate forward Bryan Rust from injured reserve

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Bryan Rust was activated from injured reserve Tuesday afternoon in advance of a road game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

He has missed the past three games due to and undisclosed injury (Feb. 8) and an illness (Saturday and Sunday).

Typically deployed on the right wing of the first line and on the top power-play unit, Rust has played in 48 games this season and has scored 42 points (20 goals, 42 assists) while averaging 19:32 of ice time per contest.

In a corresponding transaction, forward Boko Imama has been placed on injured reserve. He has missed the past three games due to an undisclosed injury.

Primarily used on the fourth line, Imama has appeared in six games this season and has no points while clocking an average of 5:28 of ice time per contest.
