Penguins announce lineups for Sunday's split-squad games against Blue Jackets

Penguins forward Teddy Blueger is scheduled to participate in Sunday’s preseason-opening home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Lineups for the Penguins’ split-squad games against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday were announced.

The first game at PPG Paints Arena is scheduled to begin just after 1 p.m. Those slated to dress for the Penguins are:

Forwards - Corey Andonovski, Teddy Blueger, Jamie Devane, Jonathan Gruden, Filip Hallander, Kasperi Kapanen, Drew O’Connor, Kyle Olson, Sam Poulin, Valtteri Puustinen, Rickard Rakell, Jason Zucker

Defense - Isaac Belliveau, Mark Friedman, Jon Lizotte, Marcus Pettersson, Chad Ruhwedel, Ty Smith

Goaltenders - Casey DeSmith, Filip Lindberg

Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan is expected to attend both games in an observational capacity. Assistant coach Mike Vellucci will run the Penguins’ bench at home and will be assisted by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins head coach J.D. Forrest and assistant coach Kevin Porter.

The Blue Jackets’ lineup at PPG Paints Arena will include:

Forwards - Emil Bemstrom, Yegor Chinakov, Luca Del Bel Belluz, Joona Luoto, Liam Hawel, James Malatesta, Kirill Marchenko, James Neal, Victor Rask, Eric Robinson, Jack Roslovic, Evan Vierling

Defensemen - Jake Bean, Nick Blankenship, Marcus Bjork, Ben Harpur, David Jiricek, Denton Mateychuk

Goaltenders - Pavel Cajan, Nolan Lalonde

Faceoff of the second contest at Nationwide Arena in Columbus is scheduled just after 7 p.m. The Penguins’ lineup:

Forwards - Raivis Ansons, Josh Archibald, Drake Caggiula, Ty Glover, Jordan Frasca, Danton Heinen, Sam Houde, Nathan Legare, Alex Nylander, Ryan Poehling, Lukas Svejkovsky, Radim Zohorna,

Defensemen - Taylor Fedun, P.O Joseph, Ryan McCleary, Xavier Ouellet, Chris Ortiz, Mitch Reinke, Jack St. Ivany

Goaltenders - Taylor Gauthier, Dustin Tokarski

Penguins associate coach Todd Reirden will oversee the second game and will be assisted by skating and skills development coach Ty Hennes as well as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton assistant Sheldon Brookbank.

The Blue Jackets’ projected lineup includes:

Forwards - Tyler Angle, Justin Danforth, Josh Dunne, Trey Fix-Wolansky, Johnny Gaudreau, Kent Johnston, Patrik Laine, Gustav Nyquist, Mathieu Olivier, Mikael Pyyhtia, Justin Richards, Jakub Voracek

Defensemen - Adam Boqvist, Jake Christiansen, Erik Gudbranson, Samuel Knazko, Andrew Peeke, Zach Werenski,

Goaltenders - Jet Greaves, Elvis Merzlikins
