The Penguins formally announced their roster for their upcoming training camp in advance of the NHL’s postseason tournament scheduled to begin August.

In total, 34 players are scheduled to participate:

Forwards — Anthony Angello, Zach Aston-Reese, Teddy Blueger, Sidney Crosby, Jake Guentzel, Patric Hornqvist, Adam Johnson, Sam Lafferty, Evgeni Malkin, Patrick Marleau, Jared McCann, Sam Miletic, Sam Poulin, Evan Rodrigues, Bryan Rust, Conor Sheary, Brandon Tanev, Philip Varone, Jason Zucker.

Defensemen — Kevin Czuczman, Brian Dumoulin, Jack Johnson, Pierre-Olivier Joseph, Kris Letang, John Marino, Marcus Pettersson, Jusso Riikola, Chad Ruhwedel, Justin Schultz.

Goaltenders — Casey DeSmith, Alex D’Orio, Tristan Jarry, Emil Larmi, Matt Murray.

Forwards Nick Bjugstad (back), Dominik Simon (shoulder) and defenseman Zach Trotman (undisclosed) will not participate because of injuries.

Camp is scheduled to open at the team’s facility in Cranberry at 11 a.m. Monday and will close July 25. The facility will be closed to the public.
