Penguins invite 57 players to training camp
The Pittsburgh Penguins announced the roster for their upcoming training camp, which will begin Sept. 22 at the team’s facility in Cranberry.
In total, 30 forwards, 21 defensemen and six goaltenders are scheduled to attend.
Forwards — Corey Andonovski, Raivis Ansons, Josh Archibald, Teddy Blueger, Drake Caggiula, Jeff Carter, Sidney Crosby, Jamie Devane, Jordan Frasca, Ty Glover, Jonathan Gruden, Jake Guentzel, Filip Hallander, Danton Heinen, Sam Houde, Kasperi Kapanen, Nathan Legare, Evgeni Malkin, Brock McGinn, Alex Nylander, Drew O’Connor, Kyle Olson, Ryan Poehling, Sam Poulin, Valtteri Puustinen, Rickard Rakell, Bryan Rust, Lukas Svejkovsky, Radim Zohorna, Jason Zucker
Defensemen — Isaac Belliveau, Nolan Collins, Brian Dumoulin, Taylor Fedun, Mark Friedman, P.O Joseph, Kris Letang, Jon Lizotte, Josh Maniscalco, Ryan McCleary, Chris Ortiz, Xavier Ouellet, Marcus Pettersson, Jeff Petry, Owen Pickering, Mitch Reinke, Chad Ruhwedel, Jan Rutta, Ty Smith, Jack St. Ivany, Colin Swoyer
Goaltenders — Casey DeSmith, Taylor Gauthier, Tristan Jarry, Filip Lindberg, Tommy Nappier, Dustin Tokarski
Archibald, Caggiula, Ouellet, Rutta St. Ivany and Tokarski joined the organization this offseason via free agency. Petry, Poehling and Smith were acquired via trades.
Collins (sixth round, No. 167 overall) and Pickering (first round, No. 21 overall) were selected in the NHL Draft in July.
Devane, Houde, Lizotte, Nappier, Olson, Ortiz and Reinke will attend camp on American Hockey League contracts.
Additionally, the team announced a roster for their upcoming rookie camp, which will begin Sept. 15. Of the 25 players who will attend the rookie camp, 23 also will participate in the training camp.

Kalmikov and Hanus are signed to AHL contracts.
