Penguins assign 15 to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

The Penguins selected defenseman Daniel Laatsch in the seventh round (No. 215 overall) in the 2021 NHL Draft.

The Pittsburgh Penguins cut 15 players from their training camp roster and assigned them to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Saturday.

They include:

Forwards – Raivis Ansons, Brayden Edwards, Zach Gallant, Max Graham, Jordan Kaplan, Gabe Klassen, Brett Murray, Zach Urdahl

Defensemen – David Breazeale, Tommy Budnick, Kyle Criscuolo, Brent Johnson, Daniel Laatsch, Emil Pieniniemi

Goaltender – Maxim Pavelenko

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s training camp opens on Sept. 29 at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry.
