Penguins assign defenseman P.O Joseph to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for conditioning purposes

In five games this season, Penguins defenseman P.O Joseph has one assist.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned defenseman P.O Joseph to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL) for conditioning purposes.

Joseph, a left-handed shot, has been sidelined for the past 14 games due to an undisclosed injury and is currently designated to long-term injured reserve.

Typically deployed on the third pairing, Joseph has been limited to five games this season with one assist while averaging 13:05 of ice time per contest.

Joseph, 24, is in the second year of a two-year contract with a salary cap hit of $825,000.
