The Penguins assigned forward Radim Zohorna to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Zohorna was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and assigned to the taxi squad on Dec. 31 then was promoted to the NHL roster on Sunday. The 22-year-old made his season debut that same day. In an 8-5 home win against the San Jose Sharks, Zohorna recorded one assist and had 8:27 of ice time on 13 shifts.

Appearing in 21 AHL games this season, Zohorna has nine points (four goals, five assists).

Additionally, the Penguins transferred reserve goaltender Louis Domingue from their NHL roster to the taxi squad.

Domingue, 29, has dressed for two NHL games this season but has not played. In 10 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, Domingue has a 3-4-2 record, a 2.69 goals against average, a .918 save percentage.

Note: The Penguins canceled a practice in Farmers Branch, Texas on Friday. They are scheduled to face the Dallas Stars on Saturday in Dallas’ American Airlines Center.
