In three games this season, Penguins forward Sam Lafferty has no points.

With forward Kasperi Kapanen on the verge of making his season debut, the Penguins made a handful of corresponding roster moves.

• Forward Sam Lafferty was moved from the NHL roster to the taxi squad. Lafferty, 25, has played in all three of the Penguins’ games this season and has not scored a point while primarily being used on the fourth line.

During Sunday’s 4-3 shootout win at home against the Washington Capitals, a turnover by Lafferty near the Penguins’ net led to the Capitals’ first goal.

• Forwards Anthony Angello and Frederick Gaudreau were assigned from the taxi squad to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Angello and Gaudreau have yet to play in any games this season.

In 10 NHL games last season, Angello, 24, scored one goal. Gaudreau, 28, was an unrestricted free agent signing this past offseason. In 42 AHL games with the Milwaukee Admirals last season, Gaudreau scored 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists).

• Defenseman Kevin Czuczman was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to the taxi squad.

A member of the Penguins for the past three seasons, Czuczman appeared in 38 AHL games last season and scored 10 points (two goals, 10 assists).

The AHL’s season is scheduled to begin on Feb. 5.
