Penguins defenseman Jack St. Ivany 'week to week' due to injury

In 19 NHL games this season, Penguins defenseman Jack St. Ivany has one assist.

Pittsburgh Penguins rookie defenseman Jack St. Ivany is sidelined on a “week-to-week” basis due to an undisclosed injury he suffered while playing for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins earlier this month.

Coach Mike Sullivan provided St. Ivany’s status following a practice in Cranberry on Wednesday.

St. Ivany is physically in town (Cranberry) rehabilitating his ailment but officially, he remains on Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s roster.

The right-hander was assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Dec. 3 and was injured on Dec. 7.

In 19 NHL games this season, St. Ivany has one assist while averaging 16:22 of ice time per contest.
