MONTREAL — In the sixth round of the NHL draft, the Penguins selected forward Luke Devlin (No. 182 overall).

A native of Memphis, Tenn., Devlin spent most of the 2021-22 season with St. Andrews College, a high school team based in Aurora, Ontario. In 44 games, he scored 47 points (19 goals, 28 assists). He also spent some time with the Des Moines Buccaneers of the United State Hockey League and the United States National Team Development Program.

A left-handed shot, Devlin is listed at 6-foot-3 and 183 pounds. Slated to attend Cornell in the NCAA next season, the 18-year-old is believed to be the first native of Tennessee drafted by the Penguins.
