The Penguins are expected to start goaltender Tristan Jarry for Monday’s home game against the Anaheim Ducks at PPG Paints Arena.
In six games this season, Jarry has a 2-4-0 record, a 2.62 goals against average, a .901 save percentage and two shutouts.
He will be looking to rebound after a poor game on Saturday when he was beaten for three goals on nine shots and pulled after 25:28 of ice time in a 5-2 home loss to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.
In his career, Jarry has faced the Ducks in three contests and has a 1-1-0 record, a 2.33 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.
Notes:
• The Penguins deployed a slightly different look on the power play during Monday’s morning skate as forward Reilly Smith was deployed on the top unit along with incumbent forwards Sidney Crosby, Jake Guentzel and Evgeni Malkin and defenseman Erik Karlsson.
Smith replaced forward Bryan Rust who skated on the second unit, along with forwards Jeff Carter, Rickard Rakell and Radim Zohorna and defenseman Kris Letang.
The Penguins have scored power-play goals in only one game this season, a 4-0 road win against the rival Washington Capitals on Oct. 13. Overall this season, they have scored two goals on 20 power-play opportunities, equating to a conversion rate of 10.0%, 30th in the NHL.

• Reserve forward Vinnie Hinostroza and Zohorna were quietly recalled to the NHL roster after being assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Sunday in a paper transaction designed to benefit the team’s daily management of the salary cap.

• The Ducks are expecfted to start Whitehall native John Gibson in goal. In four games this season, Gibson has a 1-3-0 record, a 2.81 goals against average and a .905 save percentage.
Throughout his career, Gibson has faced teh Penguins in 13 games and has a 5-7-1 record, a 3.58 goals against average and an. 898 save percentage.
• Ducks forward Brock McGinn, who was acquired in a trade with the Penguins on March 3, is on injured reserve due to an undisclosed ailment.
