Penguins forward Jesse Puljujarvi scored two goals for Finland in a 5-3 loss to Canada during a preliminary-round game at the O2 Arena in Prague on Saturday.
Skating on the right wing Finland’s third line, Puljujarvi logged 15 minutes, 31 seconds of ice time on 18 shifts and had a game-high seven shots as well as two penalty minutes.
Fellow Penguins forward Valtteri Puustinen scored Finland’s other goal. Deployed on the right wing of the fourth line, Puustinen had 12:29 of ice time on 16 shifts and one shot.
Another Penguins forward, Michael Bunting, was held without a point for Canada while primarily working the left wing of the fourth line. Clocking 14:59 of ice time on 18 shifts, Bunting had two shots.

Penguins defenseman Marcus Pettersson scored a goal for Sweden, which defeated Latvia, 7-2, at Ostravar Arena in Vítkovice, Czechia.
Opening the contest on Sweden’s top pairing alongside fellow Penguins defenseman Erik Karlsson, Pettersson recorded 17:20 of ice time on 23 shifts and two shots.
Karlsson had an assist while clocking 21:17 of ice time on 24 shifts and had one shot.
Penguins forward prospect Raivis Ansons was scratched for Latvia.

Wheeling Nailers forward Justin Addamo was held without a point for France in a 4-2 loss to Slovakia at Ostravar Arena.
A Robert Morris alumnus, Addamo centered France’s fourth line and recorded 13:34 of ice time on 23 shifts. Additionally, he had one shot and was 5 for 11 (45.4%) on faceoffs.
