A look at how players with connections to the Pittsburgh Penguins have done in the ongoing International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championship Tournament:

Penguins forward Michael Bunting scored Canada’s opening goal and recorded an assist in a 4-2 win against Great Britain at the O2 Arena in Prague on Saturday.

Opening the contest on Canada’s fourth line, Bunting had 15:25 of ice time on 18 shifts and recorded one shot.

Penguins forward prospect Ravis Ansons recorded the primary assist on Latvia’s opening goal in a 5-4 overtime win against Poland at Ostravar Arena in Vítkovice, Czechia.

Centering Latvia’s third line, Ansons logged 9:42 of ice time on 15 shifts, recorded two shots and was 3 for 15 (20%) on faceoffs.

Penguins goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic dressed but did not play for the United States in a 6-1 win against Germany at Ostravar Arena.
