Penguins forward prospect Tristan Broz transfers to Denver

In 36 games with the University of Minnesota last season, forward Tristan Broz had 11 points (six goals, five assists).

Penguins forward Tristan Broz has transferred to the University of Denver.

The school announced the move on Sunday.

A second-round pick (No. 58 overall) to the Penguins in 2021, Broz, a native of Bloomington, Minn., spent his freshman season in 2021-22 with the University of Minnesota.

Appearing in 36 games, Broz had 11 points (six goals, five assists) and helped the Golden Gophers reach the Frozen Four of the NCAA tournament.

Broz is scheduled to participate in the Penguins’ upcoming prospect development camp which begins on Sunday.
