Penguins forward Sidney Crosby has been named as an All-Star 10 times in his career.

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby has been named to the NHL’s upcoming All-Star event that will be staged at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Feb. 2-3.

This marks the 10th time Crosby has been selected for this event.

The NHL announced selections for all 32 franchises Thursday evening. Those 32 players were chosen by league executives. An additional 12 players will be determined through fan voting.

Entering Thursday, Crosby had appeared in 36 games and scored 38 points (21 goals, 17 assists) while averaging 19:57 of ice time per contest.

Referred to as the “All-Star Game” by the league, the event has become, in all reality, a three-game tournament of three-on-three play.
