A look at how players with connections to the Pittsburgh Penguins have done in the ongoing International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championship tournament:

Penguins goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic made 13 saves on 14 shots for the United States in a 10-1 rout of Kazakhstan during a preliminary round contest at Ostravar Arena in Vítkovice, Czechia on Sunday.

Highlights:

The United States’ next game is against Latvia on Tuesday, 10:20 a.m. (EDT).


Penguins forward Michael Bunting was held without a point for Canada in a 3-2 win against Switzerland at the O2 Arena in Prague.

Stationed on the left wing of the fourth line, Bunting logged 10:53 of ice time on 16 shifts and had one shot.

Highlights:

Canada’s next game is against Czechia on Tuesday, 10:20 a.m.
