Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic is scheduled to start Tuesday’s home game against the Los Angeles Kings at PPG Paints Arena.
Coach Mike Sullivan announced Nedeljkovic’s status following an optional morning skate in Cranberry.
In 13 games this season, Nedeljkovic has a 4-5-3 record, a 3.37 goals against average and an .882 save percentage.
Throughout his career, Nedeljkovic has faced the Kings in three contests and posted a 0-3-0 record, a 3.49 goals against average and a .905 save percentage.
Notes:
• The Penguins placed defenseman Marcus Pettersson on injured reserve and recalled defenseman Nate Clurman from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL).
In 16 AHL games this season, the right-handed Clurman (6-foot-2, 205 pounds) has scored five points (one goal, four assists).
Clurman, 26, is in his fifth professional season. This is the first time he has been recalled to an NHL roster.
Pettersson is expected to be sidelined on a “week-to-week” basis due to an undisclosed injury.

• Clurman, Hayes and Puljujarvi are expected to be healthy scratches.
• Penguins forward Michael Bunting has played in 299 career games.
• The Kings are expected to start goaltender Darcy Kuemper. In 13 games this season, Kuemper has a 7-2-3 record, a 2.27 goals against average, a .916 save percentage and one shutout.
Throughout his career, Kuemper has played the Penguins in nine contests and posted a 4-4-1 record, a 3.08 goals against average and a .910 save percentage.
• Kings forward Kevin Fiala has played in 599 career games.
