Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry blocks a shot deflected by Arizona Coyotes’ Brad Richardson during the first period of an NHL hockey game in Pittsburgh, Friday, Dec. 6, 2019.

In this week’s Penguins podcast, I talk hockey with Penguins Radio Network host Brian Metzer.

After we discuss the Def Leppard-Motley Crue-Poison concert, of course.

We analyze Tristan Jarry’s efforts to open up the goaltending job. We also flashback to Phil Kessel’s return. The victory over Detroit. And Matt Murray’s performance in Detroit was good enough, but not quite good.

Also, Metz and I look at the state of the Metro Division, the Eastern Conference in general, and the Pens’ upcoming home games against the Montreal Canadiens and Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Penguins have been excellent at home. Can it hold up?

Then the biggest debate of the podcast: “Pyromania” or “Hysteria”?

Obviously, there is only one answer…

…and the answer isn’t “Hysteria.”

Listen: Tim Benz and Brian Metzer discuss the Penguins goaltenders, the state of the Metro Division, and Def Leppard albums
