Agozzino was placed on waivers Sunday and claimed Monday.

The Penguins signed Agozzino to a two-year, two-way contract this past offseason with a salary-cap hit of $700,000. Named an All-Star with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Agozzino had been recalled three times this season.
