Penguins' preseason schedule includes game in Nova Scotia
The Pittsburgh Penguins announced their 2023 preseason schedule Friday.
Included in the slate is a neutral-site game Oct. 2 against the Ottawa Senators in forward Sidney Crosby’s home province of Nova Scotia at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
The Penguins previously played the Senators in a preseason contest in Halifax on Sept. 19, 2006.
As usual, the Penguins will face teams fairly close to the Pittsburgh area in the Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets and Detroit Red Wings.
In regards to the Blue Jackets, they will face the Penguins in a set of split-squad games Sept. 24 for the second consecutive year.
The schedule:
Sept. 24 — vs. Columbus Blue Jackets, 1 p.m.
Sept. 24 — at Columbus Blue Jackets, 7 p.m.
Sept. 26 — at Detroit Red Wings, 7 p.m.
Sept. 28 — vs. Buffalo Sabres, 7 p.m.
Oct. 2 — vs. Ottawa Senators (at Halifax, Nova Scotia), 6 p.m.
Oct. 4 — vs. Detroit Red Wings, 7 p.m.
Oct. 6 — at Buffalo Sabres, 7 p.m.
