Penguins president of hockey operations and general manager Kyle Dubas has been named to the management group for Hockey Canada’s entries into the 2026 Winter Olympics as well as the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off event.

Hockey Canada announced the appointments of Dubas as well as Tampa Bay Lightning vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois to roles for each event in a release on Tuesday.

Dubas was named as director of player personnel for each event while BriseBois was tabbed as associate general manager.

In May, Dubas served as associate general manager for Canada’s entry in the International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) World Championship tournament. Canada finished in fourth place.

Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan was previously named to the same position for the United States in each event.

The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held in February and will be staged in Italy.

As for the 4 Nations Face-Off event, the tournament, which involves team teams from the United States, Canada, Finland and Sweden, will take place Feb 12-20 and will be staged in Boston and Montreal. It will serve as a replacement for the NHL’s All-Star event.
