Penguins defensive prospect Antti Palojarvi has been loaned to Hermes of Finland’s second-tier Mestis league.

A native of Finland, Palojarvi was loaned by KooKoo of that country’s top league, the Liiga.

Palojarvi, 21, was the Penguins’ sixth-round pick in 2017 (No. 186 overall) and has yet to sign an NHL contract. He has already played two games this season with KooKoo’s team in the SM-sarja, Finland’s top junior league, and recorded one assist.

Last season, Palojarvi primarily played with Hokki in the Mestis. In 20 games, he did not record a point.

Follow the Penguins all season long.
