Penguins reassign defenseman Nate Clurman to AHL
Shortly after trading for P.O Joseph Wednesday evening, the Pittsburgh Penguins reassigned fellow defenseman Nate Clurman to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.
Clurman, who earned his first recall to an NHL roster Tuesday in light of Marcus Pettersson’s placement on injured reserve, was a healthy scratch for the Penguins later that evening in an eventual 3-2 overtime win over the Los Angeles Kings.
The 26-year-old right-handed shot then practiced with the Penguins on Wednedsay afternoon.
In 16 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this year, Clurman has scored a goal with four assists.
He is signed through 2024-25 at $775,000 annually.
